This last week on August 1st, I began the mission which many of you have supported me in. These first few weeks will be mostly classes, but very soon welcome week will be upon us, and I will be hard at work at UTD evangelizing and ministering to the students. It is in some ways strange to me that I am going back, but I also am very excited. I have a few people who I had ministered to last year that I am really excited to pick back up with, and I am also so excited to meet the new students who God will put in my path. Please be praying for this campus, and for the students I meet. I pray that I will be faithful with what God gives me to work with this year. I am joining a great team here at UTD, and I am sure together we will make a difference, and that we will be great for spurring each other on to the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This last week I have been reading the Old Testament, and taking an Old Testament course with Iain Provan. The course is offered by Regent College in Vancouver, BC, which to me feels like such an awesome opportunity. Iain has been a professor of the Old Testament since 1997, and his experience really shows. I am very excited to continue this course as so far, I have only completed the first 5 books of the Bible (Genesis - Deuteronomy). August 19th is just around the corner. May God bless this campus through us, and may the people we meet know we are his follower by our love.
