Meeting Together

Even though it is summer, and many of our students have left town to go home, we have continued to meet. This has looked many different ways this summer, but all of it has been super fun and joy giving. One of the more unique things I got to do this month, was attend a hymn singing with one of our local churches. Cornerstone Family Church here in Richardson invited our ministry to join them for an even they call Hymnsing, and it was so much fun! We sang both from a hymnal, and from a collection of Pentecostal hymns, and most of them I didn't know. Regardless of that, I felt so included and filled with joy at both the words of the hymns, and the life in the people singing them with me. It was such a fun experience, nd I am very grateful they invited us to be a part of it!

We are also continuing to meet every week on Thursdays at Care Church for our Summer FOCUS meetings. If any of you would like to come, they are open to everyone, and we also stream them at twitch.tv/utdfocus. We have been teaching through our revamped Focus on Jesus (FOJ) study. In June we covered topics such as Discipleship, Sin, Life in the Body, and Grace. Pastors from all of our campuses have been teaching these topics, and everyone has been doing such a great job so far. We are still having pretty great turnout as well, which this far into the summer is very encouraging!

Not a lot else is going on right now, I am spending most of my time this summer fundraising, so I would ask for continued prayer in that. Thank you all as well for your continued generosity and prayers! I will leave you with the student testimony for this month, which is by Angeloh Stout. He is a student in ministry at UTD who I had the pleasure of being able to baptize last month!
