July-August pt. 2

Things after I returned home from Colorado on July 15th were pretty rapid. I was able to celebrate my birthday pretty much immediately when getting back, and that made for a week of really getting to know just how much God has blessed me in this line of work. I can't say it enough, but thank you so much for all of your generosity and prayer. Getting to minister to all these lifelong friends has been a joy I cannot describe! Speaking of lifelong friends, I want to shout out my good friend John Bunyard, who got married on July 30th! John and I have been friends since we were both students at UTD, and he was one of the first people to join me in ministry support. I am super happy for him and his new wife Elise!

As July wrapped up, we moved into our first week of the new fiscal year, which meant the addition of our new apprentices! We have 2 new ones joining us at UTD named Jessica and David. David is very special to me, I have been meeting with him over the last two years, and the change God has put him through, and the way David has faithfully responded to that has been so cool. I am super excited to get to work closely with him, and Jessica too! Jessica has been a student in our ministry since 2019, and for the last 3 years, she has been helping us not only as a Core Facilitator, but also as a Student Officer. She has been on the frontline for a while helping us with room reservations, sending emails to campus, and doing all of the administrative work that UTD requires of its organizations. She will be an awesome addition to our team.

As we drew close to the school year, we had our licensing ceremony. You can watch the ceremony here. I committed to 5 more years of ministry with FOCUS, and I could not be more excited to get in gear and make this new year happen!
